Jerusalem—and especially the Old City—has strong security, with shelters located throughout the area if needed. You can also check the National Emergency Portal for updates before traveling, and our staff are always happy to help guide your plans during free time.

The apartments are fully furnished with beds, table and chairs, heat/air-conditioning, washing machine, dryer, wifi, fridge/freezer and a tea/coffee station. Blankets, pillows, linens and towels are provided.

Way More Israel is providing a light breakfast and dinner daily for participants.

There are also dozens of cafes and restaurants in and around the Old City.

There’s a fridge/freezer you can use for your groceries—just please label your food with your name, and please ensure any food brought in is kosher. There’s also a tea and coffee corner open 24/7.

We will be volunteering with nonprofits in and around Jerusalem that support people in need.

Explore Jerusalem like a local in your free time. Living in the Old City means endless places to discover—with staff ready to guide you along the way.

You can take a taxi straight to the Old City, but a more affordable option is the train to Jerusalem’s Central Bus Station followed by the light rail to Jaffa Gate.
