Internship

The intern will conduct legal research and draft memoranda regarding specific legal questions that pertain to pending cases, providing the Court with substantive support for legal decisions it renders. The intern will be exposed to public international law, criminal law, civil procedure, tort law, constitutional law, corporate law and contract law.

Internship

The research intern will be assigned to one of the country-represented research desks. The internship will primarily entail research and analysis. The intern will participate in short- and mid-length research projects, performing tasks such as: collecting and analyzing information, preparing short research papers, and working with his or her mentor to organize the findings into full reports to be published on the website. At times the intern may be asked to prepare correspondences with government officials, Powerpoint presentations, and briefings.

NGO Monitor deals with one of the central political issues facing Israel: how human rights rhetoric, in the context of the Arab-Israeli conflict, is exploited to demonize and delegitimize Israel. Our work focuses on combatting BDS and "lawfare," and informing diplomats, donors, and the public of the challenges raised by these phenomena. NGO Monitor generates and distributes critical analysis and reports on the output of the international NGO community.

Qualifications

Preference for academic background in political science, international relations, law, or human rights; demonstrated strong interest in and awareness of the Arab-Israeli conflict; strong research and writing skills.

The intern will take the lead on a number of core policy-oriented projects, as well as a number of key tasks to achieve the department’s mission. This involves:
* working with the Center’s marketing and government relations team to disseminate its research findings to policy makers and decision leaders in Israeli society and around the world
* helping to disseminate research findings both online and in person, identifying and strategizing to reach key policymakers relevant to each research piece, and assisting with a number of key departmental projects
